As a developer or a designer, we’ve all heard this way to many times to remember. Someone comes to you, asks how much to do X, and then gets almost offended that you have to charge for your time to do the work. Even worse are the ones that say “It can’t be that hard, just tell me how to do it and I’ll do it myself” and expect your years of training and hard work in just a couple of hours of your time, and all for free… “because you’re not doing it, just showing me how to do it”.
Here’s a little guide that I’ve found for all those people that say that they want to learn how to do it themselves. Here’s a very handy two-step process of how to draw an owl.
Now, I’d love to say where this originated from, but I don’t know. If you can tell me where this was originally posted I’d be more than happy to give them a link back to show my appreciation. Just drop me a line.
I like your post. If I had a dollar for everytime I was in this scenario, I would have earnt a small fortune. I also like the other line people pull “ahh but you enjoy this stuff, it’s like a hobby for you…” – yeah dude – you can service my car because you like doing stuff with your hands buddy.
